A first massage can feel a little intimidating. You do not know what to wear, how to lie or whether you are allowed to talk. Here is exactly what happens, so you can simply relax.
Before you arrive
Eat lightly, drink water and arrive ten minutes early. You will fill in a short health form — mention any injuries, allergies or pregnancy.
In the room
- Your therapist leaves while you undress to your comfort level and lie under the sheet.
- Only the area being massaged is uncovered at any time.
- Tell your therapist if the pressure is too light or too strong — they will not be offended.
Afterwards
Take your time getting up, drink plenty of water and avoid a hot shower for two hours so the oil can keep nourishing your skin.
